There is no trick to find out if you passed or failed. When the print permit button is gone and you see that message on FSMB, all it means is that your score should be released on Wednesday. It does not indicate anything about your score. The "trick" does not work with respect to finding out if you passed.

Hey Reddit, US MD student here. I'm freaking out about my impending score release here so tried doing the Step 3 trick on FSMB. Last week it showed I was "ineligible" to register for Step 3, but as of today after my permit disappeared I'm able to go through the entire registration process, up to the payment screen (I left my "residency" blank cuz I haven't even submitted my ERAS.

Then on Monday/Tuesday overnight your FSMB status will change from approved to expired with no link to reapply. If these things happen it is likely that you passed. Took exam on 5/4 and 5/5 anyone has the trick working? FSMB site always showing " No Step 3 Results Yet… " does this mean no results for me this week?
