Step 2: Create your sweet and sticky sauce to hold the bars together. Step 3: Combine your sweet sauce and your cereal together and place in a pan. Step 4: Cover in chocolate mixture and let cool.

Spread mixture into the 9×13 pan into an even layer. Use butter or non-stick spray on the spoon to help spread the mixture easily. Using a double boiler, melt the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips. You can also melt the chips in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time and stirring in between.

Transfer the Special K mixture to the bottom of the 9×13 pan. Wet your hands and press the mixture into the pan - damp hands limit the stickiness. Set aside. Top Layer. Add chocolate chips & butterscotch chips to a medium size bowl. Heat in microwave for 1-2 minutes until fully melted together.
