How much are adoption fees in Ukraine? ›

Adoption Fees: Ukraine does not charge adoption fees to adoptive parents, however, some families have reported that they pay between 10,000-40,000 U.S. dollars to their adoption service providers.

Foreign Country Requirements

Foreign citizens must be married in order to be eligible to adopt from Ukraine. Under current Ukrainian law prospective adoptive parents must be at least 21 years old, and at least 15 years older than the adopted child.

US law requires only that one of the prospective adoptive parents be a US citizen and it is possible for US citizens to adopt while living abroad.

While it is possible to adopt an adult foreigner in the United States, it does not give them a leg up or change the immigration process. Adoption pay and leave

Adoption pay is equal to 90% of your salary for the first six weeks of pay. The remaining 33 weeks are paid at £139.58 a week or 90% of your gross average weekly earnings (whichever is lower). If you are in a couple and both of you work, you may also share parental leave and pay.
